Rohtang pass, gateway to Lahaul & Spiti Valleys and also to Ladakh, mesmerizes you with its spectacular natural beauty serves as a gateway to Spiti Valley and also as one of the only two access roads to Leh & Ladakh. The pass closes down in winters due to heavy snow, but tourists are allowed to visit in summers after obtaining the necessary permits. The pass is located around 50 Kms from Manali and at an elevation of 13050 feet. Pass has a reputation of being dangerous and unpredictable weather. The place is a photographer’s delight and some of the activities that you can enjoy here are sledge rides, mountain biking, skiing and tyre drop.
