Kasol is a small village located in the Parvati Valley by the river Parvati. It is located around 39 Kms from the town of Kullu and is 4.5 before the famous Manikaran Sahib Gurudwara. It is a little heaven on earth for nature lovers, with the village is surrounded by mountains, pine tree forests, and with fast flowing waters of river Parvati nearly. There are many famous treks & hikes that start from Kasol. The village has a huge Israeli influence with number of Israeliā€™s staying here, cafes serving popular Israeli food, and signposts inscribed in Hebrew.

One of the most popular overnight treks one can undertake from Kasol is to Kheer Ganga, located at 11500 feet, at one end of Parvati Valley. It is also the last inhabited Village if you are doing the Pin Valley Trek. One can drive up to Tosh and there to Barshini village from where the forest trek starts. You will cross Nakthan village and Rudra Nag Temple and short breaks can be taken at both places. It is a 7 hour trek and an easy trek for physically fit people. There are hot water springs in Kheer Ganga where one can bathe also.

Gurudwara Manikarh Sahib located just 4.5 Kms from Kasol is a famous pilgrimage destination for both Sikhs and Hindus. The place was visited by Guru Nanak Dev ji in the year 1574. The Gurudwara not only has the holy book of Sikhs but also photos of Hindu gods displayed inside. On can take a bath in the hot water springs inside the Gurudwara.

Kasol offers basic hotels, guest houses, home stays and tented accommodation for the travelers. Kasol also has a flea market offering souvenirs, pendants and semi-precious stones that one can buy and take back home for family and friends.
