Gushaini is a small little village with rustic wooden houses in the Tirthan Valley located on the banks of river Tirthan. Tirthan Valley is one of the most breathtaking places in Himachal surrounded by the Great Himalayan National Park (GHNP). The local villagers are very hospitable and charming and the village give a very happy vibe to travelers. The village is surrounded by orchards of apricots, peaches and pears. Gushaini is also a starting point for many treks and hikes into the Tirthan Valley. The Dingcha and Tinder Hike is one of the most popular ones and starts from Gushaini, and goes up till the local village of Tinder. Dingcha offers panoramic views of Tirthan Valley. Another polular hike is Nohanda-West Hike, also called the Himalayan Villages Hike, this starts from the village of Pekhari which is a little distance away from Gushaini, and the 4 hour trail goes through fruits orchards to Lagcha village, with spectacular views of the GHNP.
For people interested in angling, the best place to stay is Guest Houses and Huts in Nagini which is a little short of Gushaini. Gushaini offers accommodation in homestays and few Guest Houses for the travelers.
