Gangtok Package - 4 Days

  Day 1: Arrive Siliguri – drive to Gangtok

  • On your arrival NJP railway station or Bagdogra airport our driver will meet and greet you.
  • Drive to Gangtok located at a distance of 130 km and 4:00 hour drive. Gangtok is capital of Sikkim and is situated at a height of 5500 feet with spectacular views of Mount Kanchenjunga.
  • On your arrival in Gangtok, check in at the hotel.
  • Rest of the day is free. In the evening you can go for a stroll to MG Road.
  • Stay overnight at hotel in Gangtok.

  Day 2: Gangtok - local sight seeing

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • After breakfast we take you for half day sight seeing tour of Gangtok visiting:
    - Do Drul Chorten –Stupa.
    - Research Institute of Tibetology – houses a collection of rare Tibetan and Sanskrit manuscripts.
    - Govt. Institute of Cottage Industry (a preservation center for traditional arts and crafts of Sikkim).
    - Enchey Monastery (a 200 year old monastery).
    - Hurhurey Dara at Namnang.
    - Gangtok Ropeway (cover a distance of 1 km in 7 minutes and takes you to the highest point in Gangtok).
    
  • You may also take an optional early morning tour (at extra cost) of Gangtok visiting:
    - Tashi View Point – 8 kms from the city, one can get magnificent views of Mount Kanchenjunga from here.
    - Ganesh Tok – located 7 Kms from the city on a ridge, one can see the whole town of Gangtok from here. You can also see Mount Kanchenjunga and Mount Siniolchu.
    - Hanuman Tok – 9 km from the city, situated at a height of 7200 feet, it is a temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman.
  • Stay overnight at hotel in Gangtok.

  Day 3: Gangtok - Tsongmo Lake Excursion

  • Have an early breakfast at the hotel.
  • At around 8 am leave for Tsongmo Lake, some 40km from Gangtok, situated at an altitude of 12,300 feet and it is 3:00 hour drive. This is the most visited lake in Sikkim. The lake is associated with many myths and legends and is considered sacred by the locals.
  • We also visit Baba Harbhajan Mandir situated at an altitude of 13,200 feet.
  • Some 18 km from Tsongmo lake is the famous Nathula Pass. You can optionally book visit to Nathula Pass and an extra cost. But this has to be done at time of your booking only as you need to have a permit to visit Nathula pass. Foreign national are not allowed to visit and photography is strictly prohibited. Nathula can not be visited on Mondays and Tuesdays.
  • Return to Gangtok by evening and stay overnight.

  Day 4: Depart Gangtok

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Check out time is 12:00 noon.
  • Transfer to NJP railway station or Bagdogra airport for your train / flight to onward destination.

  Tour Ends

• 3 Nights stay at hotel in Gangtok with breakfast.
• NJP railway station / Bagdogra airport – Gangtok - NJP railway station / Bagdogra airport transfer.
• Half day sight seeing tour of Gangtok.
• Full day excursion of Tsangmo lake and Baba Mandir.
• All applicable taxes.

Vehicle used is Tata Sumo.

• For Extra adult in the room we will provide an extra bed (wherever possible), but some hotels only provide a roll out bed and have no provision of an extra bed.
• Child sharing parents room will be accommodated without an extra bed.
• Operator reserves the right to re-arrange itinerary to suit hotel availability without changing the total number of days in each destination and without compromising any services.
• The vehicle used is non air-conditioned and is available for point to point services only and is not at disposal. Clients are requested to follow the timings in the program. In case any services are missed due to delay in departure, the operator will not be responsible for any refunds.
• In Gangtok local sightseeing can only be done by smaller vehicles (hence Innova or Sumo will not be available for local tour).
• Should you have any difficulty in locating the driver at airport please call the office numbers/emergency numbers or after office hours numbers mentioned on the voucher.
• All Hotels and services are subject to availability & confirmation.
• Hotel check in is at 1400 hrs and checkout is at 1200 hrs.
• Early check in and late check out subject to availability and consent of the hotel.
• NIT Worldwide Holidays Pvt. Ltd. will not be liable for any claims or expenses arising from circumstances beyond our control such as accidents, injuries, delayed or cancelled flights & acts or forces of nature.
• There are no refunds on any unutilized or partly utilized services of the package. Kindly note that the drivers are not guides.
• Any increase in taxes by the Govt. of India will be payable extra.
