  Day 1: Arrive Siliguri – drive to Darjeeling

  • On your arrival NJP railway station or Bagdogra airport our driver will meet and greet you.
  • Drive to Darjeeling located at a distance of 88 km and 3:00 – 3:30 hour drive. Hill town of Darjeeling is situated at an altitude of 6710 feet. The town, was originally set up by British, as a health resort. It produces the world famous Darjeeling tea.
  • On your arrival in Darjeeling, check in at the hotel.
  • Rest of the day is free. In the evening you can go for a stroll to the mall road.
  • Stay overnight at your hotel in Darjeeling.

  Day 2: Darjeeling - local sight seeing

  • Early morning at around 4:00 am drive to Tiger Hill situated at an altitude of 8000 feet. From the observatory at Tiger Hill, view sunrise over Mount Kanchenjunga (subject to clear weather).
  • While returning to Darjeeling we visit Ghoom Monastery, Peace memorial and Batasia Loop.
  • Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast we take you for a half day sight seeing of Darjeeling visiting Padmaja Naidu Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Ropeway, Tensing Gumpo Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self Help Center (Closed on Sunday), Tea Estate, Natural History Museum (Sunday Closed) and Peace Pagoda.
  • In the afternoon return back to the hotel. Time free for shopping and buy some famous Darjeeling Tea.
  • Stay overnight at your hotel in Darjeeling.

  Day 3: Darjeeling to Pelling

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • After breakfast drive to Pelling located at a distance of 75 km and 2:30 hour drive. Pelling offers breathtaking views of Mount Kanchenjunga and surrounding Himalayan ranges. The famous Pemayangste monastery is just one km from Pelling. Its offers a range of short treks and nature walks.
  • On your arrival in Pelling, check in at the hotel.
  • In the afternoon we take you half day sight seeing tour of Pelling visiting Rimbi water Falls, Rimbi Rock Garden and Pemayangtse Monastery.
  • Stay overnight at your hotel in Pelling.

  Day 4: Pelling to Gangtok

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • After breakfast drive to Gangtok located at a distance of 117 km and 3:15 hour drive. Gangtok is capital of Sikkim and is situated at a height of 5500 feet with spectacular views of Mount Kanchenjunga.
  • On your arrival in Gangtok, check in at the hotel.
  • In the afternoon we take you for half day sight seeing tour of Gangtok visiting:
    - Do Drul Chorten –Stupa.
    - Research Institute of Tibetology – houses a collection of rare Tibetan and Sanskrit manuscripts.
    - Govt. Institute of Cottage Industry (a preservation center for traditional arts and crafts of Sikkim).
    - Enchey Monastery (a 200 year old monastery).
    - Hurhurey Dara at Namnang.
    - Gangtok Ropeway (cover a distance of 1 km in 7 minutes and takes you to the highest point in Gangtok).
  • Stay overnight at hotel in Gangtok.

  Day 5: Gangtok - Tsongmo Lake Excursion

  • Have an early breakfast at the hotel.
  • At around 8 am leave for Tsongmo Lake, some 40 km from Gangtok, situated at an altitude of 12,300 feet and it is 3:00 hour drive. This is the most visited lake in Sikkim. The lake is associated with many myths and legends and is considered sacred by the locals.
  • We also visit Baba Harbhajan Mandir situated at an altitude of 13,200 feet.
  • Some 18 km from Tsongmo lake is the famous Nathula Pass. You can optionally book visit to Nathula Pass and an extra cost. But this has to be done at time of your booking only as you need to have a permit to visit Nathula pass. Foreign national are not allowed to visit and photography is strictly prohibited. Nathula can not be visited on Mondays and Tuesdays.
  • Return to Gangtok by evening and stay overnight.

  Day 6: Gangtok to Lachung

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • After breakfast drive to Lachung located at a distance of 116 km and 3:45 hour drive. Lachung located in North Sikkim is a picturesque mountain village situated at an altitude of 8610 feet and acts as a base for travellers visiting Yumthang valley. Located on the banks of Lachung Chu (river) it is famous for apples, peaches and apricots.
  • Enroute we stop at scenic spots like Singhik and Mangan. Time permitting visit Phodong monastery on the way.
  • On your arrival in Lachung, check in at the hotel.
  • Rest of the day free to go around the village for walks.
  • Stay overnight at hotel in Lachung.

  Day 7: Lachung – Yumthang valley – Gangtok

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • After breakfast drive to Yumthang valley located at a distance of 25 km and an altitude of 11800 feet. It is also popularly known as Valley of Flowers. Shingba Rhododendron sanctuary located here is worth visiting. 24 species of Rhododendron flowers bloom here between April to May end. Also visit the hot water springs.
  • Then return back to Lachung. After lunch drive back to Gangtok, arriving Gangtok late in the evening.
  • Stay overnight at hotel in Gangtok.

  Day 8: Depart Gangtok

  • Breakfast at the hotel.
  • Check out time is 12:00 noon.
  • Transfer to NJP railway station or Bagdogra airport, located at a distance of 130 km and 4:00 hour drive, for your train / flight to onward destination.

• In Gangtok local sightseeing can only be done by smaller vehicles (hence Innova or Sumo will not be available for local tour).
